Ionos Police Force

The police force is organized into several departments, each with a different specialization to ensure safety throughout the Ionos system.

The largest department is the Space Defence Force (SDF), which is responsible for security in space. Its structure is nearly identical to a military branch, and it possesses significant funding and a fleet of specialized ships. The SDF conducts inspections, secures contraband, verifies equipment and licenses, and performs search and rescue operations for stranded vessels. Additionally, they patrol protected airspaces and actively combat piracy in the outer sectors.

The second major division is the System Police Force (SPF). This department supports local authorities and is deployed during incidents of organized crime, serious felonies, or civil unrest and riots.

The IPF generally maintains a positive reputation among the public, although there are occasional allegations that certain population groups receive preferential treatment during enforcement actions.
